Summer Programs You May Want to Consider

We carefully screened the following organizations as "best fit" programs for WEI campers and backpackers. These program directors know the needs that WEI youth have so be sure to tell them that you are a WEI Family member. The WEI Programs most closely matched are in italics. Wildlife Camp (WC), Wilderness Adventure (WA), and Leadership Training (LT). Organic Farm Camp folks should contact Guidestone Farm at 970-461-0272.

Discovery Camp was designed on the model of Wildlife Camp and has been considered Wildlife Camp's "Sister Camp" for many years. The Counselor Assistant Program is Keystone's version of WEI's Leadership Training program with CAPs working side by side with Discover Camp staff and campers. Keystone Science Adventures offers backpacking adventures.


The Mountain Day Camp

Started by WEI Board Member Tommy Feldman, The Mountain Day Camp partners with parents and families to create a close-knit traditional camp community for boys and girls age 7 to 12. Our age-appropriate program focuses on having fun while developing skills and building connections among campers, staff and nature. Each two-week session includes hiking, climbing, environmental exploration, crafts, music and more. Discounts up to the full value of your camper's tuition are available for referrals. Multi-session registration and sibling discounts are also available. Mountain Day Camp is one of two American Camp Association Accredited Day Camps in Boulder County!

Our focus is youth development through use of the group process, nature exploration, and play.
